Tamara Leonard is a God-fearing, retired Member of Sint Maarten’s Parliament and an inspiring entrepreneur. She embraced the role of a children’s book author, a passion that emerged during her battle cancer, as she found herself with extra time to explore her creativity and inspire young minds.
Tamara’s journey began when she faced the challenge of battling breast cancer for the second time. Rather than viewing this struggle as a setback, she embraced it as an opportunity for growth and reinvention. Born and raised on the beautiful Dutch Caribbean island of St. Maarten, she moved to America in 2000, where she graduated from Miami Dade Community College before completing her education at DeVry University. In the face of adversity, Tamara is known for always searching for ways to transform her experiences into something meaningful.
While exploring new avenues during her recovery, she discovered the idea of writing children’s books; a passion that flourished as she had the time to nurture her creativity.
